The summary of my summer: Richmond Ballet was a five week intensive program where we had five classes a day consisting of ballet technique, pointe and variations, repertoire, character, theater dance, modern, and jazz. We had different teachers everyday including the director of the school and the ballet mistress of the company who had formerly danced with George Balanchine himself. It was a wonderful program that enabled me to grow and discover new styles and techniques of dance. We performed ballet and character pieces at the end of the five weeks. I made many close friends and improved my dancing and my understanding of dance. I loved it!
