Kesia Cedeno-Ballard



Kesia began dancing at the age of 12 in Durham, NC at Infusion dance and latter attending Encore Academy of Dance. She found her love in dance while training at Durham School of the Arts. This was a pivotal point in her life when she realized after high school that she couldn’t imagine life without dance. She is trained in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Hip-Hop and African dance . 

Kesia is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Currently working toward a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography, she is a dancer, choreographer, educator and activists. Kesia is a research assistant under her professor at UNCG, and has been working to define intersectionality and feminist theories through her movement. She hopes to continue educating and performing in the future.
